Araya Mesfin is an assistant professor of in health informatics at the Department of Health Informatics, Institute of Public Health, the University of Gondar where he has been a faculty member since 2018.

Araya completed his Master’s degree at the University of Gondar and his undergraduate study at Mekelle University. He has over 18 years of experience as an educator, public health professional, and researcher.

Araya is currently a member of the eHealth lab. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Public Health Informatics at the University of Gondar.

He has published 8+ peer-reviewed papers on maternal and child health. His main research interests lie in the area of eHealth, maternal and child health, and implementation science. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines.
