The 30th research conference came to a close after a jam-packed week of activity. Dr. Asmare Dejen, Secretary of the Amhara Universities Forum, Dr. Kassahun Tegenge, designated President and sitting Academic Vice President, and Dr. Binyam Chaklu, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer, all attended the conference and exhibition’s closing ceremony. Higher administrators and senior executives from the University of Gondar and other institutions, as well as faculty and invited guests, were in attendance.

In the closing ceremony individuals and institutions who have excelled in research, community service activities, and technology transfer initiatives also received recognition awards (Nile Textile, Walia Technology, Huawei Ethiopian Technology, MasterCard Foundation, etc.). In addition to this highest research work and top gran, winners were awarded a certificate and medal of honor. In saying this Dr. Binyan Chaklu the Vice president of Research and Technology Transfer was awarded the highest award when it came to his immense contribution to the academic sphere. He was able to allow the University of Gondar to receive much-needed funds from external funders. His total contribution in this regard was approximately 108 million Ethiopian Birr.

When concluding, Dr. Kassahun, the University’s Academic Vice President and delegated president, gave the closing remarks. Dr. Kassahun stated in his speech that the conference provided an opportunity for experienced scholars to share their knowledge with newer researchers. He ended by expressing gratitude to the university community and partners for their substantial contributions to the conference’s success.
